windows reboots during insallation

i put in the cd it reads starts loading then when its done loading reboots
and does it all over again. jumpers are right boot sequence is right. i'm
using th update of home

1. You boot with the XP cd and start the installation by pressing any
key when the prompt says, "press any key to boot from cd".

2. The installation starts and at some point reboots the system. When
you see the prompt to press any key, don't do it! Leave it alone and
the installation will continue.
