when i close a page on certain sites, i get an error report that states.
It says that INTERNET EXPLORER HAS INCURRED A PROBLEM AND NEEDS TO CLOSE.

So the Internet Explorer quits rather than Windows (subject line). Scan
the system for malware (especially for spyware) ASAP. If there is no
such malware, find out your IE version and repost your problem (via
Newsreader) to
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general
 
i have fsecure, spyware and it scans on its on, i think. and i dont know how
to scan using fsecure

Neither do I since the topic of this group is "Windows XP". Check its
manual and/or help file or contact the tech support. And yes, I doubt
seriously that "fsecure" offers *any* protection if the user does not
know about its capabilities in order to configure and use correctly.

One program is absolutely NOT enough.

Do a thorough check for malware, following all of the steps at one of these

So How Did I Get Infected Anyway?
For quite a few people it's by installing Messenger Plus, whose ads for
malware don't identify the malware as such and try to convince you that you
owe it to the author. See also:

Don't ever do a "default" install of anything. Always choose Custom and see
what else is being carried along. Don't install any extras you're not sure
of.
