Windows program crashes and random restarts.

I've had the issue for quite a while where programs, usually games, end up
ceashing on me anywhere from 4-100 minutes in. This error also has occured
running simple programs such as disk defragment. At times the error causes
the computer to restart, and it has been known to restart without anything
major running. There is no error message, only an error report. My log tells
me the error Id is 1000, 1001, and at times 1002.

I have replaced an old hard drive, replaced my video card, installed a new
power supply, and i believe my drivers are in order (although i may not
realize that they aren't.) I'm running 1.75gig of RAM.

If anyone could offer an advice, things to check, anything to help me with
this it would be LARGELY appreciated. I've spent a lot of time and money
trying to resolve this, including a complete reinstall of windows. Thanks.

Andrew. Please go away. Far far away. And stay there.

Open Control Panel - System - Advanced and click on the Settings
button in the Startup and Recovery (bottom) section. In the Startup
and Recovery window click on the checkbox for "Automatically restart"
to clear it. Then click on OK and Apply as necessary to exit.

That should put an end to the spontaneous restarts. However they may
be replaced by a "Blue Screen Of Death" STOP error message. If this
does happen then the contents of the STOP message, including the STOP
code and all 4 parameters associated with it plus any file or module
names mentioned with be a direct clue as to the underlying cause of
your problem. Post that information back here if you need additional
advice or assistance.

Good luck
