You can find the Product key with any of these:

and for pre-SP2 versions only)

That's understandable. There's lot to read through if you're not looking for
something specific.
 
Look for the label on the side or the reverse of the computer

Alternately, do a google search for the Magic Jellybean which will recover
your XP Key
