I can not get my pictures to be full screen. When doing a
slide show I have a black space of about 1 inch on top &
bottom of pic. When I click in the button in the viewer
for actual size its huge, so why can't it fill my
screen. It will not go full screen even if looking at one
pic no slide show. Please help, this is driving me crazy.
Also the sample pics that came with my computer fill the
screen so I know its capable LOL

In order to fill your screen the image must not only be large enough (pixels
size) but it must also have the same aspect ratio of your screen.
In order to see your screen resolution, right click on your desktop, click
on Properties and then Settings.
You will see something like 1280 x 1024 pixels (or some other numbers).
Divide 1280/1024 = 1.25. This is the aspect ratio of your screen. Now look
at the dimensions of your picture. Does it have the same aspect ratio? If
not, it cannot fit your screen, regardless of how many pixels you have. XP
does the next best thing, crops the photo to an aspect ratio that will fit
your screen and you get black stripes at the bottom and top. Same thing if
you try to print, say 6 x 4 borderless. The aspect ratio of 6 x 4 is 1.5.
You can have as many pixels as you want, if the aspect ratio of your picture
is not 1.5 it will not fit and the printer will crop the top and bottom to
make it fit.

My screen says 800 X 600 pixels.I figure thats 1.3 ratio
right? How do I figure the ratio out for my digital
pictures ?
