Windows NT Messaging

Can anyone identify this program? I find it in Add/Remove Programs, and it
seems to me that it has only recently appeared there. I'd like to know if it
is a vital component of Windows XP.
 
To the best of my knowledge, yours is the first "answer" I've received ["It
isn't part of XP."], for which I thank you. As to your sarcastic question,
the less said the better.

It's not part of WinXP, but some 3rd party email applications (Novell's
GroupWise comes to mind as one such example) require it for proper
integration with Office applications.
