Windows Not Finding RAM or HDD's

i just built a new computer, the works
4G Corsair RAM
AMD 64 X2 4800+ 2.4GHz
SLI enabled Geforce 7800 GTX's
3 250G HDD's

i'm running Windows XP Professional SP2
under MyComputer it reconizes 2.5G RAM
(We have a similar machine reconizing 3.5G RAM)
i know with this much RAM windows uses 512mb to run faster so,

why does my computer only reconize 2.5G when my fathers reconized 3.5g?

now the HDD's

my motherboard (Asus A8N SLI Premium) have 8 SATA plugs
4 RAID, 4 Regular

i have 3 plugged into the regular plugs but only the one with Windows is
being reconized
Bios finds the other 2 drives along with all the RAM

How Do i Get Windows to Reconize the other 2 HDD's

i've never had to find HD Drivers Before, so i'll take a look

anything about the RAM?

Did you add the /3GB switch to boot.ini?

Do a Google search on boot.ini or look for the Microsoft article: A
description of the 4 GB RAM Tuning feature and the Physical Address
Extension switch.htm
