Help: I needed to reformat drive & reinstall Windows XP
Pro. Now, when online I get a message that "Windows must
now shut down because the Remote Procedures Call (RPC)
service terminated unexpectedly". How do I correct
this. Using XP, not yet upgraded to SP1, cannot stay
online long enough.

hello it looks like you have a w32 blasterworm or a w32

welchia worm click start. control panel. network
connections. click the advanced tab and enable the
firewall. this should allow you to access the internet
long enough to download the removal tool from norton.
hope this solves your problem
