Windows Movie Maker to AVI format

I thought I read that Windows Movie Maker could export to a format
other than WMV. I have tried it on my computor and I can't find a way
to do it.

Is there another version of this program that will do this?

You can save to AVI.

File | Save movie file | My computer | DV-AVI (under Movie Settings).
