windows minimize in seconds of opening... this is frustrating

when i open a new window that open window stays open just seconds and then
minimizes. It is very annoying. what do i do? i can't make the window
stay..wehter a browser window, outlook express, instant messaging...etc.

have you got yahoo toolbar installed?
if so, uninstall it.
I had a simular problem, once I uninstalled it, all fixed.

Not sure I understand. The taskbar controls min and max for a window. Your
taskbar entries in the registry are broken. (There is no windows default
behavior you can set to automatically minimize everything. That could only be
done in the shortcut proprties for each application) The tool is for
repairing the registry entries of the taskbar.
