Yes you are talking about Windows Messenger 5 and I am a
beta tester for it. It is still in the Beta phase and
the release date for it is still unclear. It might be
released along side MSN Messenger 6 on the 17th though so
you never know!

Oh yeah I forgot, WM5 is part of the Real Time
Communication Server 2003 which is part of Office System
2003 which isn't going to be released until October. So
chances are it is either going to be tommorow the 17th or
October since I doubt Microsoft would release it on an
independent date.

Thanks Jad. I hope it's tomorrow.

MSN Messenger 6.0 has been out a couple of weeks that I
know of. I have been using for this time and have found
that it keeps signing you off at random intervals for no
apparent reason. Is is also an add-in and won't uninstall
ver 4.x or 5.x, so you will need to edit the registry by
running "Gpedit.msc" Double-click the following items to
expand them:
Local Computer Policy
Computer Configuration
Administrative Templates
Windows Components
Windows Messenger
Double-click Do not allow Windows Messenger to run, and
then click Enabled.
Click OK, and then quit the Group Policy snap-in.
NOTE: Group Policy Editor (Gpedit.msc) is not available on
Windows XP Home Edition-based computers only Professional

I was talking about Windows Messenger, not MSN Messenger.
They are two separate programs. Thanks though.
