Installing applications: is there any sence to disable Windows Messenger for
better performane, when installing new program? (it recommended to close
all applications when installing new software) Does Windows Messenger affect
on something?

It never makes sense to run any application you don't use. Go to WM's
options screen and tell it not to start with Windows.
