When I updated my windows messenger, a green box appeared that said security warning and asked if I wanted to install the software. Microsoft was on the box and underlined and there was a padlock and keys on there too. Does anyone know if this is really from Microsoft? It appeared to come with the update for windows messenger! And is it safe? I thought it was security for my messenger so I installed it.

Greetings Lucy,

Yes, actually this is exactly what you're supposed to see when it's legit. This is Windows
showing you that what you actually just downloaded has been authenticated and been confirmed
as being directly from Microsoft (hence why it said).
