Does anyone have or know where to find the registry key for the win Messenger
service? I need the key that will enable this service. I think SP
automatically disables this service which is not allowing me to receive net
send messages anymore. Please help.
Thank you,
David Eccles

1. Go to Start > Run and type: SERVICES.MSC , and hit enter.
2. Scroll down to MESSENGER.
3. Right-click on this service and select Properites.
4. Set the Startup type to Automatic.
5. Afterward, Start the service.

you are correct, finaly after 5 years microsoft finaly released a
service pack whcih disables mesanger service by default, just trpe
services.msc in the run dialog box, find messanger and enable it
again, if you actualy want to take the risk.
