Windows Messenger Removal?

I just recently upgraded to Service Pack 2, & I use Msn Messenger instead of
Windows Messenger, & I was wondering how I go about removing Windows
Messenger because it comes up everytime I start my computer, I've tried to
remove it from the startup programs vis Microsft Anti-Spyware, but for some
reason it still comes up, I have even tried completely deleting it from my
computer & it just reinstalls itself. Is there any way to permanently remove
it from my computer? It is becoming a pest

just delete the folder its in in program files in your c drive (i said in to
many times didnt i?)

Do you want to remove it or do you want to disable it? You can
disable it by launching it and clicking on tools/option/preferences.
Uncheck Run Messenger when Windows starts. Also uncheck the next one
- allow messenger to run in the background.
