Windows Messenger 4.7 display color error

When I installed Windows Messenger 4.7 on Windows XP, I noticed that the little icons that show if your contacts are on or off line have no color. They appears as black blotches behind the contact icon.
I don't know if this is normal for Windows Messenger because I'm used to MSN Messenger 6.1 on Windows 98.

And do you use the last Nvidia driver from ms-update? yes, go back.

I notice your answer about this problem. Will going back to previous driver repair this problem?

problem here. After I did that, everything returned to
normal.
