windows media player

my windows media player is not openiong on my program at all. It was working find not too long ago and i went to open it and is not opening at all , checked all my programs and all my files and i have everything else in its place but i cant find the media plater anywhere. I need some help getting it back without having to use my restore disc
please help!!!!
