Just in the past week my Windows Media Player (WMP) has stopped playing DVDs
properly. It will play the audio track all OK but the video is all black. I know
the DVD is good since it has played before on my DVD drive. In addition the DVD
plays fine when I use Power DVD. With WMP, I can see the files loading, them the
audio plays but no video. All of my Windows critical updates and WMP updates are
installed. I have looked through the WMP options and tried changing some, but to no
avail. Does anyone know of some option that might have been reset somewhere that
would cause this. Perhaps I should just go download WMP 9 and reinstall it.
