I just got this message when playing something.

Never got it before.

Anybody know what the implications are?

Is somebody scraping info from my PC?

Windows Media Player 10.00.00.4036

I think that message came because the license was acquired for a
protected content, don't worry. Check the thing below and you will
understand what was that :
Open Windows Media pLayer > Tools > Options > Privacy tab >
There will be a checkbox "Automatically acquire license for...."
The thing you got was just that info.

I un-checked that on day 1 and it still seems tb unchecked. (??)

Assuming I've got it wrong somehow though, the real question in my mind is why
the publisher would be giving away a license gratis. Doesn't compute unless
there's something in it for them....and the only thing available would seem tb
information about the using PC.
