Windows Media Player Help

I got Windows Media Player 9 with my Sony Vaio. The
Windows Media Player is not playing video properly. It
starts flashing during most video it plays. It will pash
from the actual video and a black screen. It makes any
video impossible to continue watching and i was wondering
what I could do about it. Thanks

You could try downloading some new codecs. Maybe

This worked for me:(1)Right click on Desktop,and

click "Properties". (2)On the "Settings" tab,
click "Advanced". (3) On the "Troubleshoot" tab, move
the "Hardware accelleration slider" to two notches closer
to "None". (4) Click "OK", and click "OK" again. (5)
Clicl "YES" if you are prompted to restart your computer.
(6) Try Windows Media Player again. Good Luck,Weet
 
Many Thanks to "Weet". I've had this same video problem
for months and nothing I've tried worked until I lowered
the hardware acceleration. This worked great. Thanks.
