Windows media player 9

I recently upgraded to the series 9 player and now I get
a message saying that player can't play a DVD movie
because a compatible decoder is not installed. My old
player played them just fine. Where can i get a
compatible decoder? Thanks John
 
Open XP's "Help and Support" and type: DVD , and hit enter.
Click on the topic titled: "DVD Troubleshooting".

Try reinstalling your DVD decoder. If you don't have one, you'll
need to purchase and install one. Some suggestions:

I cant swear I know but have you tried installing the
divx decorders that might be your problem I ran into that
if not dont know its worth a shot anyways take care
