I need help! Whenever I try to view any kind of video, an "Active Movie
Window" comes up. How can I get rid of this window so that it will play in
the original playr window?

Try resetting file types to register them with Windows Media Player.

Open the player. On the tools menu, click options.
On the file types tab, click "Select All" then press OK.

*This may change some associations away from other programs, for instance,
if QuickTime had previously taken itself as the player for WAV files. You
can also select file types individually in that window.

You may want to uninstall any 3rd party codec packs if you have any
installed and see if this remedies the issue.

Another fix that was discovered at Wugnet.com's forum is to perform the
following:

1. Open Windows Media Player 10.
2. From the menu bar, click on "Tools" and then click "Options".
3. Click on the Performance tab, and under "Video accelleration" click the
Advanced button.
4. Make sure "Use high quality mode" is unchecked. Also try unchecking "Use
overlays".

I can't guarentee that it will work, but it's worth a shot. Let us know if
this helps! :-)

Have a nice day!
