Can not open mail after todays update. Need help.

Update of what?

What if any antivirus programs do you have? Some of them tend
to cause assorted problems in Windows Mail, although seldom
immediately.

Also, do you have the Google Toolbar installed, which also causes
problems in Windows Mail?

I disabled the internet security. still can't open windows mail.
do not have google toolbar.
called internet software support it was not in their software.
windows had 5 updates today have no idea what they were.
thanks for the reply.

Not sure what "disabled internet security" means. Please identify your
security software by brand name.
Symantec's Norton and McAfee products are usually not compatible
with Windows Mail. Disabling is not sufficient, it has to be uninstalled.

A recent version of the Trend antivirus software (details not
available) causes assorted problems in Windows Mail,
and has to be uninstalled, not just disabled, to stop it from
causing these problems. You sometimes then need to
remove your email account under Windows Mail, then
restart Windows Mail and create the account again.

If this cures your problem, you may want a replacement
antivirus program that doesn't cause such problems.
I recommend either avast! or AVG, either one with a
custom install that tells it to leave out the part that scans
email.

If you mean Windows Vista updates, I installed the
same updates this morning and had no problem
sending myself a message afterwards.
