I have tried to set up two different email accounts on Vista windows mail.
Both times I have been told that authorization failed. I checked with the
servers to make sure that I have the info correct. It is. If anyone can
help, I would greatly appreciate it.

Did the accounts use the HTTP protocol? If so, that will fail under
Windows Mail.

Otherwise, tell us who the email providers are and see if anyone here
already knows where to find their instructions.

Complete error messages could also help if you get any.

Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR authorization failed', Port: 110,
Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92

Some critical pieces of the error message are missing. Please post
the complete error message.

Looks like you didn't set the server name, so Windows Mail does not know
what server to connect to and therefore can't get any messages. Who is your
email provider (likely to be the same as your internet provider)?

Also, some servers insist you enter your username with no CAPITAL LETTERS,
and some are picky about whether you do or do not follow it with the part of
your email address starting with @. Many are picky about having the CAPITAL
and lowercase letters in your password match the way they were set.
