Hi, I'm not really computer savvy, and I'm trying to setup my windows mail
account to where I can send and recieve email through my Yahoo! Mail account.
It's telling me to enter in a server name and whether it is a POP3 or IMAP.
I'm just completely clueless as what I need to put in the sending and
receiving boxes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That is not very helpful, all of you, involved with junk vista, should have
done your homework...you should have had a link to the major mail sites..

1. Who are you to throw stones? I don't see you volunteering your time
to help people.
2. There are thousands of ISPs and mail providers. We have no way of
knowing what particular ISP someone is using unless they volunteer
that information.

Hey - I can explain IMAP and POP. IMAP (internet message access protocol)
allows you to access mail on multiple devices - the messages leave a copy of
each email on the server. POP (Post Office Protocol) is used for non-sharing
in that once a local software package downloads the email - the message is
deleted from the server. The propblem with POP is if a message gets
downloaded to your local computer and then you sign in to your lap top - you
will not see the previously downloaded messages; this is not good for
trvelling business people.

Yahoo's server settings are:

IMAP INcoming Server imap.next.mail.yahoo.com
SMTP OUTgoing Server smtp.next.mail.yahoo.com

I am having a problem with the login - which I hope to resolve soon. I hope
this helps.
