I have reinstalled Vista on my home computer.
Basicly, I am at the 15th pass of Windows Mail and it continues receiving
messages from my server.(Again and Again!!)
I DO have to check for new messages!
I imagine I am a click off of repairing this issue.
I need help soon because of the 1500 messages stored on my server, I have
33,000 messages now!
Thank you!

John S.

Does it fail after receiving part of the messages? If so, it will try
again,
and get them again. Find the last message it gets before failing, then
log on using webmail (assuming your email provider has it) and then
find that message and delete the next message after it.

You might also want to click on Tools, then Accounts, then your
email account, then Properties, and check the bottom section to see
if you ever remove the messages from the server. You should, in
order to prevent too many messages from piling up there.

No Robert,
It Just repeats the whole E Mail Volume again! Complete Messages over and
over. Windows live mail never did this before and must be stopped ASP!
I leave the messages on the server since I have had trouble with my OS for
some time. IT has been a Savior to me.
I still need the quick fix!!

I was answering for Windows Mail, not Windows Live Mail, so someone
else will have to take over helping you.

I beg your pardon Robert, it is for Windows Mail!
My Bad!
It's like the Energizer Rabbitt.. It keeps going..going..going..going..!!

What if any antivirus programs do you have? Some of them cause
assorted problems in Windows Mail, although seldom immediately.
I haven't heard of them causing exactly that problem, though.

There are not ANY antivirus programs instaled at this time.
I am worried to add ANY Program to Vista at this time too.

Go to your mail provider's webmail server and move all the messages
to another folder. POP clients like Windows Mail will only download
from the server's inbox folder.
