My Windows Mail Icon has disappeared from Quick Launch and the Start
Menu also.

How do I get it back?

Thanks.

Make a new shortcut, drag it to the quicklaunch, rightclick on it en
click 'pin to startmenu'.

Hi,

Right click a blank are of the Desktop, click New/Shortcut. Either type in
or browse to:

"C:\Program Files\Windows Mail\WinMail.exe"

Click Next, then call the shortcut "WinMail" (or anything else you want).
Click finish. Now left click and hold on the new icon and drag it to the
start orb. When the menu opens, drag it to the top and release it, this
section is for pinned items so you don't need to do anything further. Now
take the icon that is on the desktop and drag and drop it on the Quicklaunch
as well. You may need to unlock the taskbar and expand it a bit to see the
new icon properly.

There is also the option to right click on the shortcut icon and choose "Pin to
Start Menu" and "Add to Quick launch"

When I right click on the desktop and click new I see a shortcut to
shortcut and when I click on it nothing happens.

There is no WinMail.exe in Program Files. There is a
WindowsMailGadget.exe.

Thanks

Hi Travis,

Do this then: Click start and type WINMAIL and you should see it at the top
of the start menu. Right click the file and use "Send To --> Desktop (create
shortcut)". Now you can follow the remainder of the instructions with the
new icon.
