I was so pleased to get my sending facility bach that I forgot about the
spam
filtering [[most messages coloured red. Will I have to do the
re-insall
to
correct this?
Paul.

You're welcome. And thanks for the feedback.
Thanks Robert, the patch appears to have worked well.
Paul.
:
If the patch isn't sufficient, you may need to click Tools, then
Accounts,
then your email account, then Remove. Then restart Windows Mail
and
create the email account again. This can remove more of what the
antivirus program left behind.

Oops! - forgot to say I will try the patch now. Thanks Robert.

I bought this computer, my first with Vista. Windows Mail
worked
perfectly
for two weeks, then suddenly stopped sending, without me
changing
anything
to
my knowledge. It stopped filtering spam as well but that is
less
serious.
Receiving is still fine. Can anyone help?
Paul.
Is mail piling up in the Outbox?
If so , download and install this fix, with Windows Mail not
running:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/941090
Although it's labelled as for mail stuck in the Outbox, it also
works
in other folders. If you don't know whether to use the 32-bit
version or the 64-bit version, try the 32-bit version first.
Certain
common antivirus programs, such as most of those from Norton
or McAfee, or a recent one from Trend, are likely to cause this
problem again, although not immediately, so if you have any of
those, remember where to find the fix since you're likely to
need
it again.
