Windows Mail Attachments!!

As it seems, many others share this problem. Whenever I attach a picture,
(format of email text or HTML) the program automatically embeds the picture
into the body of the email. I need this to stop. I have been through all of
the options and cannot seem to find where to turn this off.... please help
anyone...

You can't stop it.

The only files that are embedded into a mail are picture files.

Your recipient, if reading in plain text, will still not see them, except as
attachments.
