I upgraded to windows xp pro but on the login screen it
just says window xp, I think a have seen login screen
with widows xp pro.
Please let me know if this is right
 
after installing sp2 the startscreen changes.

just read windows xp service pack 2 removes the home and
profession logo.
 
Microsoft has a knowledge base article # 886930.
Unfortunately, it says nothing as yet.
