windows logo key won't minimize game

when i am playing the game delta force black hawk down and
i press the windows logo key or any combination of keys
pressed with the windows logo key and it does't goto the
desktop. if i press just the windows keys i can see the
start panel flicker then go away. but the game screen is
still showing even though i am not playing the game. the
same thing happens when i push the windows logo key and
another key ie windows key + d to go to desktop. the
selection box flickers and then disappears but the game
screen is still up. i have installed ati's catalyst 4.6
drivers reinstalled the old 4.5 catalyst drivers and even
tried the latest omega drivers and they don't fix the
problem. i am running win xp home with a p4 2.4 on a msi
neo 875 fis2r mobo, 1 gig of pc2700 dualchannel ddr with a
ati 9700 pro 128mb video card.
 
Hi Ben,

Try ALT+TAB. That should allow you to toggle to a
desktop application, and return to the desktop as a result.

alt tab does not work either. thanks for the help.

A lot of game applications don't like losing focus and intentionally disable
the Windows Key and Alt-Tab functionality.
