when the computer sits for a while it automatically logs
off and displays the log on screen. Is there a way to stop
this and simply use the screensaver instead? i am running
a program that keeps crashing everytime WinXP switches to
the log on screen

thx

.
Try going to your control panel, display settings, and
disabling your habernation settings. To do this, after
you go to your display settings go to screen saver tab,
hit your Monitor Power (Power) button and make sure that
your monitor does not turn off after so many minutes.
Then hit your Hibernate tab and once there make sure that
there is NO check mark next to Enable Hibernation. If
there is then remove check mark.
