We use AD to disable the ability to lock workstations but
after migrating to XP users can use Windows key + L to
quick lock how do i disable this function

I gotta' ask <grin>: Why would you want to stop
users from locking their workstations?

(Most people have to be trained TO DO that.)

You may not want students to be able to lock workstations in an open access
lab setting. Given the OP's "ac.uk" e-mail domain, I'd guess that's the
reason.

In a company setting, you'd definitely want users to lock their workstations
(and preferably enforce it with group policy using a locking screensaver).

I can imagine that.

(Also the opposite - but that's a good one.)
