I had a virus on my computer and I successfully removed it. Well since this
happened I have bought a printer and tried to install it but everytime I do
so it says that the install was unsuccessful and that Windows has not been
properly installed or that it's running in Safe Mode. Windows XP was
installed on my computer when I purchased it and did not come with a disk.
There was a sleve that the disk should've been in but it said something about
getting Windows XP from System Restore? Anyway My Question is How can I fix
this problem Without the disk to reinstall XP? I've tried to Do a System
Restore But that hasn't worked Either.

Is in fact your system running in Safe Mode? Or just that the Printer
would not Install? Post back here the make and model
of Printer and if you are using a USB or Parallel connector.

Yes my system is running in safe mode and the printer is just one thing that
I used as an example. There are things such as games the won't download
either thru disks or from the internet. My Aunt Keeps telling me that some of
the E-mails that She sends me are coming back to her. So yeah it's defintly
the computer. My only problem is thatI don't have An XP disk to reinstall it
with. Is there anything that I can do without having to go buy another one?

When you purchased your computer, the seller was legally required to
provide you a method to return the computer to factory condition. They
could do this by providing:

1. A physical cd with the actual operating system on it. If an OEM
version (as opposed to retail), there must be a product key sticker on
the computer. If you have the product key sticker, a local computer
shop may be willing to install Windows for you since the product key is
your license, not the physical cd.

2. A physical cd with an image of the operating system as installed at
the factory.

3. An image of the operating system on a special partition, sometimes
hidden, on the hard drive.

Refer to your computer manual for which method was used. If you
purchased a used computer from "a friend", yard sale, or unscrupulous
local computer shop and did not receive the operating system or product
key, I'm afraid you will have to buy a copy.

Here are some tips about what you will need to reinstall Windows:
