How can I stop Windows Installer running on startup, please?

I have unsuccessfully tried to uninstall Corel Photo Album which came as
bloatware with a new pc. I wanted to uninstall the program as it was always
trying to update itself & I never use it.

Add & Remove Programs would not uninstall it suggesting that it had not been
properly installed. Unwisely, probably, I deleted the program files & also
deleted the registry entries in HKEY Current User/Software & HKEY Local
Machine/Software. I also deleted the Corel Folder in C\Prog.files\Common

The entry remains in Add/Remove Programs

Following this Windows installer open up on booting with a message that it
is preparing to install. The Egg timer appears & then stays on.

I have tried using System Restore to a point before I uninstalled the
program however, unfortunately, system Restore is unable to restore to that
restore point.

I know that the problem is of my own making, however if any kind person can
help me out of this predicament I'd be grateful.

Thank you very much; that worked a treat.

Thanks; I've made a note for the future, however this time I've used Windows
Installer CleanUp Utility & managed to sort out the problem.
