| the feature you are tring to use is on a network that is
| unavailable. it says evertime i try to open up a
| application. the install log i cannot find anywhere on my
| computer and i do not have my disc to reinstall it, Help.
Since the feature you are trying to install is on a network
server (qa-6), make certain that it is available when you
open the application.
And since (it appears that) your computer is a member
of a corporate network, if you have any further problems
I suggest that you discuss this issue with your Systems
Administrator and/or Computer Support Technician.
If this is your home computer, a Windows XP stand-alone
computer that you administer, then you could try to
determine the cause of the error message by opening Event
Viewer (eventvwr.msc), looking in the Application Log
for Source: MsiInstaller - Warning Messages (Event numbers
1001 and 1004), double-clicking the Event and reading the
Description.
And if you need more details, you can set Windows Installer
Logging to verbose. For more information see the following
Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
KB314852 - How to Enable Windows Installer Logging in
Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?Product=winxp&scid=kb;en-us;314852
And if the above does not help I suggest that you post your
question in the following newsgroup:
Money General
AKA: microsoft.public.money
If you read the newsgroups using a Web Browser click the
link titled "Microsoft Product Support Newsgroups" on the
following Web Page:
Microsoft Money 2004 Community
http://www.microsoft.com/money/community/default.asp
If you read newsgroups using a NNTP newsreader, such as
Outlook Express, and use the msnews.microsoft.com news
server here is a link:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.money
And if you post your question to Money General, please include the exact error message, details on
your computing
environment (domain or workgroup, etc.), and any
relevant information found in Event Viewer (eventvwr.msc).
Note: To copy and paste the details of an event found in the
Event Viewer click the Copy button, then paste it in your
newsgroup post.
