Windows Installer problem

Hi, Whenever I try and install Microsoft Works onto my windows XP pc i get
the message 'cannot read from the specified deivce.' I can explore the disk
but whenever I try and install it I get the same problem. I have tryed this
with other software and get similar problems.

Any help very much appreciated

Resolving problems with the Windows installer:

You might also want to run a CD lens cleaner disk through the drive, as it
may be clogged just enough to prevent a proper read.
