Hi All,

I had a problem with one of my applications wanting to run the windows
installer everytime I ran it.

Someone responded and told me how to change something in Admin Tools ( I
think !!!!).

That worked, but now no programs that use the windows installer will
install.

I get the message "The system administrator has set policies to prevent this
installation".

If someone can help in how to put this back the way it was I would much
appreciate it.

& I promise to write down any changes I make - so I can reverse them :)))

TIA - Dave Porter

Hi Dave,

Start/run gpedit.msc

Expand Computer Configuration/Administrative Templates/Windows
Components/Windows Installer, you can find the policies preventing
installation here.
