Windows Installer MSI

I have Windows XP with SP 2. I have just started getting when starting my
computer or opening Office XP Words a small display window "Windows Installer
-preparing to install" Then immediateley I get a 2nd small display stating
"This MSI must be launched through Setup" Sometimes if I click cancel on the
1st window "Norton Antivirus 2005" appears. I have contacted Norton and after
some time they said I must contact Microsoft Support to down load the MSI
installer,because I have XP with SP 2.
Can you please help me solves this problem.

Get rid of Norton's crapware, and the problem is solved. You may have to reinstall the Windows Installer.
