My XP box is constantly trying to install software on my machine when I
boot it up. I thought it was an offending piece of software, which I
did not use, so I removed it. Upon next boot up it started to try and
install another software item.

I can disable the installer to work around this, but it's obivously not
a long-term soln.

This is the error text I receive:

The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable
disk that is not available.

Thx.
