I recently changed the motherboard in a PC, so had to do a Repair using the
original Windows XP disk, and I ran into the same problem I've had every time
(2 or 3 times) that I've had to do this:

Windows Installer 3.1 seems incapable of installing on a Windows
configuration that has had a repair done.

When it comes to nonsence, you should know. The above message is complete
nonsense, as is almost every message you post to these newsgroups.

Yours is the nonsense. A repair install is what is normally needed when
a motherboard is changed, though occasionally it will work without it.
Trolling again with false info eh Andrew?
