Windows Installation Keeps Re-Starting Itself

I have been trying to re-install windows xp home on my computer and it gets
about 19 minutes from finalizing installation when it restarts itself. It
keeps going through this each time I try to re-install. Obviously I have
corrupted files or something, but I have no idea how to fix this problem.
Someone please help me.
 
You are seeing a restart due to some device driver. It's possible you could
remove some of your 'unnecessary' hardware for the setup, and put it in
later to deal with things separately.
 
How would I go about removing the device or drivers?
I know which driver it is, but I cannot get into windows to delete it.
