Windows in Taskbar option won't stay on

After much searching I finally found the "Windows in
Taskbar" option that enables me to open XL sheets as
seperate windows in the taskbar. My problem is that it
won't stay switched on. I have tried saving the file
afterwards, but it is always swithed off when I next open
XL. This is only a problem in Excel, not Word. I am
working in Office 2000 (I think it was upgraded from
Office 97 - could that be cause this?)

Thanks in anticipation
Gavin

PS: Before anyone tells me that this is an annoying
feature, let me tell why I like it. I often have to switch
between XL sheets, Lotus 1-2-3 sheets, Word docs, Access
tables, etc. and it's a pain in the butt when I can't just
use the taskbar everytime, regardless of which files I'm
switching between.

Thanks for your response.

I have read the article you mentioned, but I don't think
that that is my problem.

The option works fine when I switch it on, its keeping it
sitched on that I can't do.

This applies to all XL sheets, whether they are shared or
not.

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Gavin

No, but thanks for the help.

I don't have a problem with getting the option to work,
its keeping the option switched on that I can't do.

I'm running all the latest XL patches and Internet
Explorer version 6.
