Bummer... try this first...
What did you do just prior to this happening. Without that...
Boot to Safe Mode with a Command Prompt and type
SFC /SCANNOW
Afterwards to boot... if no Joy... rebuild the Master Boot Record before trying
a Repair Install (BTW, do you have an ERD?)
To do this boot to Safe Mode with a Command Prompt and type
FDISK /MBR
Afterward, reboot to see if you get up to speed... IF it does not, we'll do a
"repair install"
Get your four boot disk set and the W2K Installation disk.
Boot up with the Disk Set to a choice to Installation repair using the ERD, or
if you do not have, choose the Console repair, and pay attention to what the
choices are and what you need to do. After completion, Cold Boot, and see if we
are up to speed.

My windows 2000 is hanging on the startup screen and wouldn't move past
that...If i put it in safe mode...it takes about 5 hrs to load it up to a
screen....I tried to use the configuration in the f8 setup to original and
it does the same thing...How do I solve this problem!!!
