Is there a Windows FLP newsgroup? I'm having a problem trying do an
interactive install and want to post in the right newsgroup.

That is a really obscure title for a newsgroup. Why not just post in the
Windows 98 or ME forum? Or explain your problem better here.

Microsoft released Windows Fundamentals for Legacy PC's - a stripped down
version of Windows XP SP2 to its volume license customers back in July 2006.
This is for corporations that can't get rid of their hardware.

Anyway, I tried to install this on a formatted FAT32 hard drive from a
bootable cd and I get the following error message:
"Config Parser Error - Error parsing
X:\I386\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\config\machine.config Parser
returned error 0xC00CE556 with OK.

Click OK and "Setup.exe - Common Language Runtime Debugging Services
Application has generated an exception that could not be handled. Process
id=0x264 (612), Thread id=0x268 (16)

Click Ok to terminate the Application Click Cancel to debug the application"
After clicking ok Computer reboots and does the same thing trying to install
again.

I tried burning a new cd but same issue on another cd.

Since you have this, your company must be a volume license customer of
Microsoft's. I can't imagine that your company doesn't have a support
contract with Microsoft. You need to call your support contact at
Microsoft and ask them this question. If you don't have a support
contract, you will need to call MS support (business side, not consumer
side) about this. Yes, that is not free but it is a cost of doing
business; my experience with the corporate/server support at MS is
excellent and the fee is well worth it.
