windows flickers?

been having this problem recently where by when i start my computer (laptop)
up the monitor flickers on and off rapidly and will stay off for a couple
mins but you are still able to see vaguely whats on the screen. Never had
this problem before and i am sure its not hardware related.

Could someone help me out thanks

It has to be.

Windows don't flicker, they either are intact or broken / smashed.

Laptop LCD screens have fluorescent light tubes to provide
backlight. Just like the tubes you see in buildings, they
flicker when they go bad. Contact the mfg'r if it is still
in warranty or for prices to repair it. There are private
repair shops too.
