I am already running Norton Internet Security. Is it
advantageous to run a second windows firewall or should I
just turn it off. Is it possible for one firewall to catch
somthing the other didn't?

Us the Norton firewall. It protects you from unintended incoming and
out going. The Windows firewall only protects you from incoming as I
recall.

One firewall is enough.

If you go to Norton's site they will advise you to disable the Windows firewall and use theirs.
