Windows Firewall Can't Start - SP2

Installed Win XP SP2 this morning. When the system rebooted, it asked if I
wanted to turn the windows filewall on. On attempting to start, I got an
error stating the service was not turned on and asked if I wanted to turn it
on. Said yes. Was unable to start service. When I go to the Windows console
and try to start the service, I get error number 10047. Have rebooted
numerous times, made sure dependednt services are started, etc. , but I get
the same message every time.
Any suggestions are appreciated. Thx.

This fixed my 10047 error, but mine was not caused from installing SP2:

Start/Run --> cmd.exe

and then, in the command prompt, type:

netsh.exe winsock reset

and hit Enter
