I feel like such a dummy but I saved that had been emailled to me to the
default Temporary Internet Folder and cannot retrieve it.

I have checked my settings so that all hidden and protected folders are
shown but cannot see any folders in my Temporary Internet Folder.

Can anyone help?

If internet explorer is setup to delete tempory files on exit you might be
out of luck. If you know the name of the email or whatever it was that you
saved use the search feature. If you can't find it you have to put it down
to experience.

The Temporary Internet Files have probably been emptied, so whatever you
put there is gone. Save things you want to a folder in My Documents
instead.

Try to save something else through the same dialog to that folder. If
you can see that file in the Save dialog, then you can copy it or drag
it to another explorer window or desktop.

Guys,

Thanks for your help. For info Temporary Internet Files is not set to empty
on stutdown and I've tried the other suggestions. The file path is
C:\Documents and Settings\'username'\Local Settings\Temporary Internet
Files\...

From there I am supposed to be able to see a folder called IE5 Content\ and
then all the temporary folders that are created. But I can't see the IE5%
Content folder.

I have administrator status and as far as I can tell all my settings are set
to show me everything.

Does this additional info help anyone with a possible solution for me?

:

Use another admin level account to look at those folders. You can't see
teh contents from within the same account.
