Lately I have been getting a message on my desktop saying
Windows Explorer has encountered an error and will now
close. My desktop then shuts down and restarts. Someone
said that it could be caused by a virus, but I have done
several scans without result. I am running XP
Professional with an Athlon XP 3000+ and 1280Mb of ram.
Can someone help.

If anyone is interested I have managed to fix the

problem by downloading Ad-Aware and removing all the
stuff that shouldn't have been on my hard drive. I havn't
had any problems since.
